Republicans for Obama
by: Amit Thard

The Iraq war, immigration bill, social security, health care, oil prices etc. etc. This is a list of issues the republicans will try to avoid in upcoming presidential debates over the next year. This is also a list of weapons that the democrats have to win the elections.

Just when it seemed that all hope was lost for the Republicans, Barack Obama announced his candidacy. Suddenly, the republicans found themselves back in with a chance.

Now, while people may think that Barack Obama being black is the biggest disadvantage he has, when it comes to campaign strategy, his skin color is at the bottom of the list for the republicans.

The republicans hope that Obama will win the democratic ticket. If he does, then speech writers will have to work overtime along with campaign strategists to strategically destroy any chance Obama has to win the elections.

First, they will talk about Obama’s experience, or thorough lack of it. He is the least experienced of all candidates till date. Then, they will talk about his support for abortion and stem cell research. After that, they will start to attack his stance against the war and somehow tie that to the fact that he isn’t even fully American. His father is Kenyan. Attacking his race would spell doom for them so they will stay away from it. However, they will talk about his lack of military record.

Even if Barack Obama does win the democratic nomination for president, it is highly unlikely that he will win the elections.

Merry Christmas Republicans!!!
